Deepak has a proven track record as an investor and operator across SAP, McKinsey, and Cognizant. Prior to Gaia Ventures, Deepak was the EVP and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at SAP. During his decade-long tenure at SAP, he architected the company’s growth strategy and transformation that resulted in a 3x increase in top line and over $100 billion in shareholder value. He also launched SAP’s early-stage venture fund – SAP.iO – that invested in B2B SaaS startups and led SAP’s fintech and healthcare businesses.

Tom is an experienced operating executive and has led the go-to-market and professional services teams for two pre-IPO companies. Prior to his recent operating experience, Tom was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company in their Silicon Valley office for nearly two decades where he advised several clients in the tech/software industry on growth, go-to-market, product development, and operations.
